D. Roger. Yearwood
D. Roger Yearwood is co-founder and partner in the law firm of Innovative Legal and Business Solutions Inc. He was formerly a Partner with Fraser Housty and Yearwood, who were recognized as one of Guyana’s leading law firms for its practice in criminal, commercial, civil and constitutional litigation.
Mr Yearwood is a graduate of the Hugh Wooding Law School and was admitted to practice at the Bar in 2002. He has also held appointments with the University of Guyana, lecturing in the areas of commercial, contract law and the law of torts for degree programmes.
Mr Yearwood is also one of Guyana’s contributor to the WJP Rule of Law Index and the World Bank’s “Doing Business Internationally” project.
Mr. Yearwood has advised and represented domestic and international clients across many areas and sectors of law, inclusive of financial services, commercial contracts construction and litigation, mining, oil and gas, real estate, trading and intellectual property, securities, patent and trademarks, gaming and civil litigation.
Mr Yearwood also provides advice in areas such as risk management, compliance and due diligence to a number of multinational, public and private companies.
With experience also in criminal litigation, he also advices, protects and defends commercial clients from criminal exposure and from criminal charges.
Marcel S. Bobb
Marcel Bobb, Partner, made partner in under three years at his last firm and then proceeded to head their Litigation Department. He is admitted to practice at the local bar in excess of Ten (10) years and has distinguished himself in both civil and criminal litigation, advised individuals business and financial institutions on Corporate Governance, Corporate Finance, Debt Recovery, and Mergers. Further, his experience spans to areas such as Mining, Oil and Gas regulation, Employment and Immigration, Contracts, Labour and/or Employment, Immigration, Intellectual Property (Trademarks and Patents), Public Law, Real Estate transfers, estate and family matters to say the least. Additionally, he has for numerous clients conducted due diligence exercises and assisted in the incorporation and registration of local and external companies.
